Restoring & Optimizing Advocacy Rights

Courtney A. Hughey, M.S., CCC-SLP, QOM Track-Candidate

Courtney Hughey is a compassionate speech-language pathologist (SLP) who is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Above this, she is a strong woman of faith, loving wife, and dog-mom. She was born and raised in Southern California and graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Throughout numerous mentorships and personal experience with communication disorders, she then pursued graduate studies, receiving a MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Lebanon Valley College in PA. Being a non-traditional student who faced many obstacles, allowed her to be “a walking testament of redemption and second chances”. Coupled with a passion for policy change and research, her certification in grant writing from UNLV allows her to provide access for the individuals she serves. Throughout her SLP journey, she has served all ages throughout development (infants, toddlers, children, adolescence, and adults) in various settings including early intervention, schools, hospitals, home-health, skilled-nursing facilities, and private practice. She started ROARin’ Speech Therapy L.L.C. in Las Vegas, NV in 2024 to help Restore and Optimize Advocacy Rights by empowering every individual and caregiver to “be their own therapist “. Her dual licensing in Nevada and California, enables her infectious personality to shine in several communities through mobile and tele-therapy services. She looks forward to serving you and using all of the knowledge she has learned thus far to meet your individual needs!
